Mendocino logo contest entries
In September middle and high school students from all four NCRCN districts were invited to enter a contest to design a logo for the network. A traveling exhibit of all logo entries was displayed for at least a week in each of the four communities.In Mendocino the display was shown in the Art Center in early November. A finalist was selected from each district and asked to revise his/her logo, taking into account feedback from the coordinators and our guest judges Elizabeth Share and Laurette Rogers from the Autodesk Foundation.The winning logo was announced the first week of December. The winning logo was designed by Emily Van Dyke, a junior at Mendocino High School. Mendocino students created some wonderful logo designs which are displayed below.
