How does the project connect with our theme of people, history,
and place? Participants in this project represent the community and its’
willingness to create their own history and strengthen their sense
of place and community for young adults at LHS.
How does the project interact with the community? Community members are invited to participate in and support the
improvement of the overlooked high
school grounds.
How does the project connect with other NCRCN members/ sites?
Other sites are invited to observe our process and better understand
the theory art can heal. |

How will the project improve student learning in relation to Holistic

Self Directed Learner: Participants will create at their own pace while being inspired
by those around them.

Community Contributor: Everyone who participates will leave a piece of themself to inspire
those who come after for generations.

Constructive Thinker: Creating an original piece of artwork that will be part of a
whole takes creative thinking and cooperation.

Quality Producer: Everyone is guided so they are successful. When assembling the
structures great care will be given to aesthetics.

a statement with their sculpture or use words of wisdom.

What kind of support would you like from the coordinator? Financial and networking support in finding used culverts for
the project.
If you are applying for funds, what will you use the money for?
I am asking for
$500.00. The money will be used for clay, tools, cement, possible
culverts and sand.
What other sources might provide additional funding for your project?
No additional funding at this time. We are hoping for donations
of culverts.
