Brief Description of Project:
To create a Hyperstudio (hypercard stack) on Laytonville history,
people, ecology and mapping.

and place?
The project is people, place and history of Laytonville
How does the project interact with the community?
We will connect with community members as needed for information
to build our project (interviews,pictures etc. from community
members).
How does the project connect with other NCRCN members/ sites?
We will share our project with other sites via video conferencing,
email and the Internet. |

Student Learning:
How will the project improve student learning in relation to Holistic
Learner Outcomes?:

Self Directed Learner: The students are learning to use the computer as a tool Specifically
using Hyperstudio to facilitate organization of information.

Community Contributor: Our project will make students aware of the complexity of our
community. They will be more aware of their place within the community.

Constructive Thinker: Students will review information and decide which is useful and
appropriate to the project.

Quality Producer: We will use the Hyperstudio program as a way to organize our research
and produce a product we will be proud to share with our school
and community.

Effective Communicator: After completion students will share their project with the community
in a yet to be determined way (possibly at a board meeting and/or
Open House).

Help with contacting and arranging to meet with necessary community
members.
If you are applying for funds, what will you use the money for?
We will need color ink jets for printing maps and blank disks
for storing work. ($50. is the maximum we will need.)
