NCRCN Project: Anderson Valley Community Computer Lab
Project description: While adult education has long been offered in Anderson Valley, computer education for the adult community is now available many evenings throughout the year. Basic computer classes to training in a wide range of multimedia subjects such as web and CD-ROM development are available. We offer a wide range of software from Word and Excel to Pagemaker, Illustrator, Freehand, Dreamweaver, Director and more. Two of our most popular classes have been Photoshop 5.5 and the Computer Media Seminar.
Several great projects have been worked on, such as the Salsa Cookbook, the Navarro River Project, eZine, (a web-based Anderson Valley magazine), and the Anderson Valley Agriculture Department web-site.
Classes are held in the Anderson Valley High School Library. The lab offers state-of-the-art computers, high speed, T1 internet access, and a growing collection of CD-ROM tutorials and books. For additional information please contact the Adult Education Department at the Anderson Valley Unified School District at 707-895-2953. Please join us!
